This online marriage license application allows couples to enter most of their information before coming to the Court or apppearing by Zoom. By starting the process online, it helps to expedite the process. All applicants are still required by law to appear in the Greene County Probate Court to finalize the application and obtain the actual marriage license unless you appear by zoom at the end of this application.

When filling out this application online, please pay specific attention to the following:
    • Always use full names – no initials
    • When filling out your parents’ names, be sure to list your “legal parents,” the parents who are on your most recent birth certificate. Do not list step-parents.

   1.  Are at least one of the applicants a Greene County, Ohio resident?
   2.  Do both applicants live out of State and plan to get married in Greene County, Ohio?

If you answered NO to both of the above questions then you cannot apply for a marriage license in Greene County, Ohio.

For Ohio residents:  You must apply in the County that you currently reside in and then you will be able to get married anywhere in the State of Ohio.

For out of State applicants:  You must apply in the County where you are getting married.
